Our Cause
- You must look at these numbers first:
- Every 22 seconds, a child is orphaned.
- Every year, approximately 1.4 million children are orphaned (UNICEF).
- An estimated 153 million children worldwide are orphans (UNICEF).
- Worldwide, there are 168 million child laborers, accounting for almost 11% of children (ILO).
- 263 million children and youth are out of school (UNESCO).
- An estimated 61 million primary-school-age children are out of school; 53% of them are girls (UNICEF).
- There are 69 million children worldwide who suffer from malnutrition (World Bank)
- In 2017, 75% of malnourished children lived in less developed regions (WHO).
- Nearly half of all deaths in children under the age of 5 can be attributed to undernutrition, resulting in the unnecessary loss of about 3 million young lives a year (UNICEF).
- 66 million primary-school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world, with 23 million in Africa alone (WHO).
Isn't this terrifying?
Orphaned children face a number of challenges. First and foremost is the loss of their parents and the lack of proper care. This can lead to a myriad of problems, such as malnutrition, abuse, and neglect. In addition, these children may also have difficulties adapting to life, often requiring academic and social support to compensate for their lack of family. Such support isn’t easy for a child to find.
Orphaned children are the most vulnerable people in the world, as they are often left to fend for themselves. Their rights to education, healthcare, and protection become secondary; the main focus for these children comes down to where their next meal will come from.
That's why I and my partner wanted to help those orphaned children and bring back the smiles on their faces. But we knew that we couldn't do much for those children on our own.
As a result, in 2021, First Twinkle©, a children's apparel brand, was formed with the primary goal of helping orphaned children by providing them with proper food, shelter, healthcare, education, and assistance in the development of their skills and talents.
And today, we're able to help those orphans by donating 25% of our profits every month to charities all over the world. These charities focused on supporting and helping orphans, abandoned kids, and families at risk without any discrimination.
By supporting orphaned children for more than 2 years, I am certain that by helping orphaned children, we can change the world. When we give children what they need to THRIVE, not just SURVIVE, we break the cycle. Each orphaned child we help is further able to help many more children live a life without despair. Just one orphaned child we provide for, triggers a chain reaction that positively impacts thousands more.
We know you want to help those children as well, but you may be in the same situation as we were. As a result, we have came up with an excellent and straightforward method of assisting those most lovely human beings. Rather of donating to charity or our cause, you can buy any product from our store for your children and we will donate 25% of our sales before the end of the month.
There are many more orphans to whom we must reach out, and my team and I are working around the clock to help as many as possible. This is the only way to change the world for the better.
